Beginner Trips

These beginner kayak sessions are designed to build your confidence to enable you to develop your skills towards being able to undertake a carefully selected journey on the sea. They are suitable for adults, older people and accompanied young people aged 14 and over who have a moderate level of fitness and flexibility. No big arm muscles required! On the first day we will stay in very sheltered water to get you up and running with the basic skills to control your kayak and run through essential safety drills. These sessions usually take place in the shelter of Llyn (Lake) Padarn but could be in a sheltered bay depending on the wind. If you book two or more days we will select other suitable venues based on sea conditions and the confidence of the group; there are plenty of fantastic sites in North Wales to choose from. All kayaking equipment required can be provided and included in the beginner course prices.

Beginner Ability Level:

Little or no experience in a kayak on flat water (could have done 5 kayak trips on flat water). Probably not practised capsizing a sea kayak outdoors.
